I am writing this as a series of posts about my experiences integrating furry 4 legged kids into a blended family - similar to those of humans. It is reality based and I hope it will bring a smile or perhaps a laugh from my readers. It's a great place for me to share the joys as well as the challenges I have encountered.

You Can't See Me....
Leilani has always been lets just say a teeny bit (ok A LOT) sneaky. She loves to hide behind the curtains or sofa and jump out at any unexpecting pooch who happens by. Sometimes though she forgets there is a tail attached or how fluffy she really is. On those occasions she is usually the one getting surprised. Maggie loves to play hide and seek as well but is more partial to the seek part. Last week Leilani had been playing hide and jump out most of the day with Maggie being the victim who would then chase her throughout the house. Of course Leilani grew bored with that and went off to ponder the days events. Maggie was in search mode - about an hour later I saw her crawling toward something in the bedroom - Leilani's tail was sticking out from under the curtain. Maggie went for it and just took the tip in her mouth - Leilani jumped straight up in the air and ran off very bewildered with a "how did she know I was there" look on her face. Maggie's face said it all "I got you - HA".
