A Trip to the Vet

It's so funny before I got this sick it was not a big deal to take Maggie and Leilani to the Vet together. Jackson and Janet have their own Vet it's too far for me to take them. (YEAH) Several weeks ago Leilani started to vomit, both her gums and nose were very pale and she seemed lethargic so I called the Vet and they told me to bring her in right away. She weighs about 14 lbs and her carrier is a bit small - I knew she was really ill because there was no struggle to put her in. I slid the carrier from the bed onto my walker seat and proceeded to the garage, shuffling through - trying not knock the cat onto the floor - got to the truck and I slid the carrier onto the seat. We made the very short drive to the Vet -  upon arriving I called and let them know we were there - they came out to get her and asked me all the questions in the truck. They carried her inside and I went home. Such a little thing has turned into a HUGE process!! They called me later - they found a small mass in her intestine they thought was an infection, she stayed 3 days being treated with antibiotics, IV fluids for dehydration and medication to decrease swelling in her intestine. She is fine now thank goodness!
