I am writing this as a series of posts about my experiences integrating furry 4 legged kids into a blended family - similar to those of humans. It is reality based and I hope it will bring a smile or perhaps a laugh from my readers. It's a great place for me to share the joys as well as the challenges I have encountered.

Hunting for Puppies
Leilani has a new game - hunting for puppies - actually just Maggie. I've mentioned this before but I really thought it was just a passing phase. It seems to be happening more frequently and is more malicious. Last night she jumped out from behind the recliner, catching Maggie in the right hindquarter and didn't run when Maggie turned on her. She also was stalking Maggie - watching her from under the living room table and then ran out for the kill. This morning she went for the hindquarters again - trying to knock her down - reminding me of lions hunting small game. They swipe the hindquarters, knocking them off kilter and then go in for the kill. Maggie does try to retaliate but it doesn't seem to deter her - she was bloodied after this mornings attack and Leilani has got an appointment to be declawed.
