Squirrel Hater

Maggie grew up in a condominium the only outside activities she had was on a leash for walks or off leash at the dog park. When I first bought the house she was introduced to the backyard and was so enthralled with it she would stay out for hours - sitting in the screened in porch and just take it all in. During that time she found out about squirrels - the longer she is around them the more she hates them. They hang upside down at the bird feeder - she tears out of the doggie door - gravel flying and runs circles around the feeder of course the squirrels are already in the trees and she circles those. After one of the circling attacks she will sit under the big trees in wait - the squirrels will start down the tree chattering at her and then just sit and stare at her. Sometimes she will be sitting under one of the trees and they'll throw acorns down on her. It's so funny she starts barking and walks around the tree looking up. She sits up at the patio door just watching them and this morning she was watching so intently she fell backwards off the top of the sofa - thank goodness she fell onto the sofa and not the FLOOR!!
