Voicing an Opinion

Our area is an older neighborhood - large trees, medium sized yards and lots of people walking for leisure and exercise. A day does not go by without seeing multiple people taking their dogs for a walk. These things are great stimulating factors for Maggie's barking - maybe a leaf blows by, a blade of grass moves or someone walks by on HER sidewalk. It gets really annoying but that's what dogs do...right? Yes we have gone to dog training sessions - all three times we were asked to leave because she barked whenever the trainer was talking. At the groomers she barks at all the black dogs and the Shitzus and her nick name is the "mouth of the south". The daycare gals call her "Maggie mouth" but think she is really funny. We do not venture to pet stores that allow dogs because she cannot keep her thoughts to herself - which causing other dogs to defend their own beliefs. People have suggested the stop barking collars - we don't put a shock collar politicians or activists that defend their thoughts - why would we on our best friends?? (there are several people I can think of would benefit from one of those!) Even though she barks a lot I really get offended when people say she is "YAPPY". She is just using her rights - freedom of speak - sorry I meant speech. lol
