I am writing this as a series of posts about my experiences integrating furry 4 legged kids into a blended family - similar to those of humans. It is reality based and I hope it will bring a smile or perhaps a laugh from my readers. It's a great place for me to share the joys as well as the challenges I have encountered.

Pet Empathy - I LOVE Them SO Much!
Most of you know I have been pretty flat on my back this past week through today with my Sjogren's and Fibromyalgia. The animals have had just the bare minimum attention from me these past days but my significant other makes up for that in the evenings. I feel really bad about the lack of attention they are getting. The endearing thing is they seem to know how bad I feel and unlike people I don't have to say a word. I went to bed today and slept most of the day - Maggie and Leilani both slept on the bed - each had a paw touching me - no bickering about who was lying where - Janet slept in her bed next to me and didn't crap on the floor at all. She got an extra treat for being on her best behavior. Jackson went out and came in he first time I called him. All in all it I am very blessed to have four legged kids that know just how sick I am and were so very, very well behaved today!
